The Los Angeles Chargers added a veteran presence to their offense earlier than the beginning of the NFL playoffs. They are signing working again Ezekiel Elliott to their apply squad, in line with FOX Sports NFL insider Jordan Schultz.
Before the ultimate week of the common season, the Dallas Cowboys waived Elliott at his request. With the Cowboys already eradicated from postseason rivalry, the 29-year-old needed to signal with a workforce that might make the playoffs.
The Chargers will kick off the wild-card spherical on Saturday, after they go to the Houston Texans within the first recreation of the weekend.
In the primary season below Jim Harbaugh, the Chargers dedicated to working the ball with JK Dobbins and Gus Edwards. However, each defenders have been coping with accidents lately. Dobbins missed 4 video games in December with a knee harm, whereas Edwards has been out the previous two weeks with an ankle harm.
Elliott and Dobbins each performed at Ohio State and confronted Harbaugh, who was then the pinnacle coach at Michigan.
Upon his return to the Cowboys this season, Elliott was primarily a backup to Rico Dowdle. He recorded a career-high 74 carries for 226 yards and three dashing touchdowns in 15 video games. He made six postseason appearances in his profession, totaling 393 dashing yards and two touchdowns.
