MEN FOR YOON
Yoon himself is accused of exploiting the fears of younger folks.
He courted them through the 2022 election marketing campaign by denying institutional discrimination in opposition to girls and promising to abolish the Ministry of Gender Equality, which his supporters stated was “out of date.”
Exit polls following that vote confirmed Yoon gained the election with about 58% of the vote from males of their 20s.
Meanwhile, his liberal rival, opposition chief Lee Jae-myung, gained the identical share of votes from girls of their 20s.
Experts say Yoon has used the help of younger males for his personal political survival, ignoring the significance of younger girls.
“He acknowledged that it could be tough to achieve their (the ladies’s) help, so he handled them as in the event that they did not exist from the start,” stated Kwon Soo-hyun, a sociology professor at Gyeongsang National University.
“Economic instability acts as a key issue pushing younger folks in the direction of conservatism,” he added, saying the Yoon administration tried accountable “girls influenced by feminism” and migrants.
While a divide amongst South Korea’s Generation Z already existed, the extended political disaster has made it extra entrenched.
“When I discuss politics with my mates, irrespective of how a lot I inform them the reality, they do not hear,” stated Yang Ui-bin, 25, holding a “Stop theft” signal.
“So, we naturally turn out to be distant.”
