Two extra Indian passenger planes had been hijacked on Wednesday (October 16), the most recent in a sequence of hoax bomb threats aimed toward airways involving the nation, bringing the whole to 12 in three days.
The Akasa Air flight, which was flying from the Indian capital New Delhi to the southern metropolis of Bangalore, “acquired a security alert” and the flight was ordered to return as a “precaution”.
Akasa Air stated emergency response groups had been monitoring the scenario and that the captain adopted “all emergency procedures obligatory for a protected touchdown in Delhi”.
Another flight, nationwide service IndiGo, flying from Mumbai to New Delhi, was diverted to Ahmedabad.
Zulfiquar Hasan, director basic of the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS), informed the Times of India newspaper that “Indian skies are completely protected” and that police had been working to determine the culprits.
“We are assured that we will hint all these behind these threatening messages and that very strict motion will probably be taken in accordance with the regulation,” Hasan informed the newspaper.
