An hour earlier than his first efficiency on the fundamental stage of the Coachella Music and Arts Festival, a horde of managers, members of the band and labels crowded the entry of the trailer of the artist of Junior H.
Among the quite a few faces was Jimmy Humilde, the CEO of Rancho Humilde Records, who signed the singer after his monitor “No eh Cambodo”, a bustle hymn with requirement, turned viral on YouTube.
Junior H, whose actual title is Antonio Herrera Pérez, on the time he was a highschool in Utah. Now, nearly seven years later, the 23 -year -old artist, who grew up in Guanajuato, Mexico, is likely one of the best names on this planet more and more fashionable than Música Mexican.
“It’s really nice for us to be here right now, representing Mexico and representing all this music we are doing,” said Junior H, passing between Spanish and English. “Being the type of artist I am, I’m trying to get the greatest number of ears I can. That’s why I’m here to attract people’s attention.”

Junior H and the Cano Natanel label companion are credited for Pioneering Corridos Tumbados, a hybrid sound that merges the traditional corridor instrumentation with hip-hop elements and traps-the album of 2019 of Cano, “Corridos Tumbados”, very characterized by Junior H.
In the kingdom of Música Mexican, there are the producers of corridor trap that sing for parties and drugs, and then there are “sad guys”, hopeless romantics that sing to be in love or to be broken. Junior H is comfortable between both.
“I really don’t have problems looking at who I am. I think people gave me (the title of the” sad boy “) a few years ago. They started ranking me with sad and sentimental music. So I accepted and we continued,” said Junior H. “especially with men, I think it is important to show people that feelings are not bad and we can express them as we want.”
After his tour in the United States, Sad Boyz Mania, which took place last summer and included two nights sold out at the BMO stadium of La, Junior H received a second -line billing in the training of the 3rd day of Coachella this year. His name appeared between DJ Electronic Zedd and K-Pop Idolo Jennie, and was one of the three artists of Música Mexican by playing the whole festival-to combines with partner Sad Boy Ivan Cornejo and Reggaeetón Mexa el Malilla.
The organizers of the Festival started booking Música Mexican Actst in 2018-Legacy Cumbia Group Los Angeles Azules was the first to play the three-day event.
Since the global interest for the genre grew up, Goldenvoice, the company behind Coachella, booked acts such as Los Tucanes de Tijuana, Grupo signature, MS and Cano band. Last year, pluma weight, Carin León and Santa Fe Klan were in formation.
It was during the plum weight set that Junior H made his debut in the desert, making an apparition for guests to sing “El Azul”, a narcocorridic believed he was a Sinalona drug gentleman. Now with his 50 -minute set, Junior H claims to be enthusiastic to be in a position where he could return the gesture to pluma and bring his touch of “sad boy” at the center of the scene.

“You know, it’s not an opportunity for him, because he was the first who opened like this for us,” said Junior H. “is a really beautiful thing among artists, and especially among friends like us when we work very hard for this kind, and then get the privilege of performing on phases like this.”
While the start of the Sunday evening set linked above his head, Junior H exchanged his casual and pink shirt with an all white dress that would oppose the all -black clothing of his band. In the dark trailer, journalists, friends and fans of Vip shared all some moments of his refined attention. The Softspoken singer remained silent and seems to be in a relaxed mental state. Outside, the The Tuoloche player tuned his tools while the guitarists gathered in a corner to run through some agreements and the horn made some test notes explode, all while taking Clase Azul Tequila intermittently. When it was time for them to go on stage, they moved in a dense pack where Junior H was just visible.
On stage, Junior H took on the role of a director who supervised the 25 musicians who support him. The pure quantity of people created a show show, with each group of instrumentalists at different raised levels. The ensemble even included someone whose sole purpose was to provide tequila blows to the musicians and keep the red solo cup of Junior H, generating an atmosphere of celebration both on stage and among the public. While the feeling of Música Mexican challenged the texts of the broken heart of “y lloro” and a symphony of the “Rockstar” horns resonated, commanded the stage catwalk and hit every note from the pits of his diaphragm.
Throughout the show, Mexico continually shouted and encouraged the crowd to scream the texts. Towards the end of his set, he pulled out of weight to sing “moon” and followed him by inviting Tito Double P on the stage to join him for “5-7”.
Many expected a different setlist from Corridos Tumbados Originator, since he has neglected many of his most popular corridos such as the new “El Chore” and one of his first successes, “El Hijo Mayor”. There were online speculations on the exclusion of these tracks, especially after the American visas of Los Alegres del Barranco were revoked for showing an image of the drug lord Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes during a recent concert. But Junior H shared that he wanted to put more spotlight on his “sad” sound.
“(Sad Boyz 4 Life II) is one of the most important albums of my career. We forced ourselves to demonstrate and show people what we can do and that we can change our music. It must not be typical. We can also make beautiful and beautiful music, not just music on the streets or Narcos and all that is …”, he says, apologizing for the curse. “We want people to see that we don’t just do that type of music. We also make beautiful music and poems. This is our goal: to show them that we do more.”
Before leaving the stage, a huge image of the Mexican flag appeared on the largest screen on the main stage. The explosive guitar riffs of “Discovere Lo Malo”, a collaboration with Cano, pushed a roar from the crowd. Junior H made one last lap around the mega stage, fixing a visual contact with each screaming individual and pay homage to his musical roots.
